Tips to Make Your Child’s Party Extra Magical

So, you’ve got a birthday coming up and you want to make it magical — the kind of day your little one talks about for weeks (or years 😅)? Facepainting is a brilliant way to add colour, creativity and a whole lot of joy — but there are a few simple things you can do to make it all go smoothly.

Kids are excited at parties — like, sugar-rush, balloon-chasing, non-stop excited.
Giving your face painter a little calm corner away from the main action helps the kids sit still and makes the painting process smoother (and more enjoyable for everyone!).

You’ll also get better photos when they’re not distracted by a jumping castle in the background

Sometimes there are tears. Or cake. Or tears because of cake.
Having a soft cloth or wipes nearby is a quick fix before or after painting — especially if we’re doing anything around the mouth area.

It also makes it easier if kids want to switch designs halfway through (it happens more than you think!).

Tiny humans often have short attention spans — and nap schedules.
If possible, let the smallest guests go first so they don’t get grumpy waiting their turn. It also helps your face painter manage their time better (and keeps the peace!).

Face paint can smudge if kids immediately dive into jumping castles, splash pools or cupcake piles.
If you can, let them chill for a few minutes after painting — maybe with a snack or a story. It’ll help their new tiger face stay tiger-y longer.

Face painters get snapped up quickly around holidays, school breaks, and festival weekends.
If you know your party date, don’t wait! Lock in your spot so you’re not scrambling last minute.

We’d love to be part of your little one’s special day.

Let’s paint some memories together!
